"The Musical Offering of J.S Bach was
captivatingly played with clear thematic structure in all of its
contrapuntal diversity, together with a transparency throughout even in the
most complex intertwining textures.
With on the one hand an energetic burst and on the other cascades of
pearl-like sounds began Rachmaninov's Second Sonata in B flat minor.
Evans displayed a brilliant technique and an especially powerful facility in
articulation with beautifully produced sound.
The Liszt Sonata in B minor crowned a magnificent recital. All in all a
rousing and enrapturing experience."
